John  18:37  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Unfortunately, we are in an era when we just decide to do what we want or what we think is right and ignore what we think is wrong. This era is the period of time where we do things because we see someone else doing it. We seems to lack focus on what we really ought to do.

I have watched young men and women including the middle age ones who are in their early 50s and 60s make certain choices just because they saw someone else making that choice. The choice of business, dressing, likes and dislikes of many are hinged on the choices of others.

Multitude do not know exactly why they are doing what they are doing but yet according to scriptures, we ought to be sure of what we are doing and why we are doing what we are doing.
Jesus came to the world and it almost seems unbelievable that He never did or attempted any single thing that the Father wasn't interested in unlike many of us today. John  18:37  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

He was too sure of what He was doing that He could boldly confess it without fear of what might happen next.

Recently, I asked myself, "why do you write?" The amazing truth is that, I am not tensed as to what to write though I need the right atmosphere and condition for the flow of inspiration but I write because it's just part of me. Consciously and unconsciously I am writing with ease.

*Insights For Today: If I ask you today, why do you sing? Why do you pray? Why do you fast? Why are you into that business? Why are you into that job? Why do you want to travel? Why are you doing what you are doing? Why do you want to take the step you want to take? .... What will your answer be?*

*_Prayer point: Dear Lord, I ask for Divine direction, let me never be confuse in life as to what to do and as to why I am doing what I am doing in Jesus name. Keep walking by Faith_*

Romans  9:16  So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
  James  2:13  For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

The scriptures reiterated the fact that God is a merciful God and that His mercy endures forever more. One of His nature that He cannot push aside is His mercy, no matter how angry God is based on the sins the people, we have also seen that even in the midst of His wrath, His mercy is still shown.

Our Father is such a merciful father unlike our earthly father. For instance, He sent Jesus to die for us while we were yet in sin. Men will not forgive you until you say “Sorry” but God forgave us even before we said “sorry”. This is a demonstration of His mercy.

David spoke so much about God’s mercy because Himself was a full beneficiary of the mercies of God.
Another demonstration of His mercy  was in the life of Job. What he lost was restored back to him not because he was fit to change things but because God’s mercy sustained him. We saw Job in Job 3:1-14 cursing the day he was born out of frustration and severe attacks. Job would have literally given up hope if not for the mercies and grace of God that held him.

*Insights For Today: God will show mercy, all you have to do is trust Him for His mercy to be unveiled in your life.*

1 Corinthians  7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the KEEPING OF THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD.

Countless number of people have lived their lives to chance others just live the way they think will be good while some others have just drawn their conclusion based on the kind of occurrences or situation they found themselves in but what exactly is God's take on this?

First, from our text for today, the Lord made it clear that, whether you're circumcised or not doesn't make you any better, what makes you better is that you decide to do or keep or take heed to the word of God.

We have a generation of people who don't really care about what really matters as long as they are doing well in terms of being stable, that is, being satisfied the way they are with the resources they have.

Ecclesiastes  12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

The Bible says "the whole duty of man is to rever God and keep His commandments". To keep His commandments simply means to be a sort of His word.

In Matt 3:33-35 Jesus made a striking comment which many of us as Christians do not pay attention to, He said "my brothers, sisters and mother are those who hear the word and do them". This means as long as you're a keeper of the word, you're not permitted to be an ordinary man but a brother/sister of God Himself. This is amazing, isn't it? Mark  3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

*Insights For Today: What matters is not that we should only hear the word, not that we should be circumcised or uncircumcised but that we should keep His word.*

Proverbs  18:10  The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Security in Christ Jesus is conditional, this means that you can’t be secured if certain conditions are not met. What then are the conditions based on proverbs 18:10?

1. You must be righteous
2. You must run into Him

Inasmuch as true security can be found in His name, the ending portion of our text in Proverbs 18:10 confirms that, for you to enjoy that security, you must take a certain step which is to run into Him.
You know, I have heard someone say "God will do whatever He wants to do irrespective of what you do, whether you do something or do nothing". The real truth is that "with or without you, God remains God and cannot deny Himself but God won't do anything in your own life if you refuse to do something.

What I am saying is that, nothing is free in God, someone may say "this is heretic because salvation is free". Well do you really believe in scriptures? Am sure you do. Was Jesus not sacrificed as a Lamb without blemish for the sins of the whole world? Sure He was, so do you see that even as free as salvation is, someone paid for it and someone else must still take a step further to confess before he/she gets saved.

If salvation was really free, Jesus wouldn't have been sacrificed for sins and if we all can just be saved by merely knowing that Jesus died then everyone should have been saved because everyone knows that Jesus died but only those who believe, accept and confesses Christ gets saved.

This same principle governs the operation of God, you can't be kept in perfect peace if your mind is not stayed on Him. The righteous has to run into the name that is a strong tower for he/she to be safe.

2 Corinthians  4:13  We having the same Spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

It is not enough to claim to believe a word spoken to you either from the written word or by His Spirit. The Lord said in Numbers 11:38 hh, "say unto them, as truly as I live sayeth the Lord, as you have spoken in my ears, even so will I do unto you. This means that, you must say something if you want to see something.

Whatever you can't boldly declare, you do not truly believe. Believe is a strong affirmation of the truth in you, it is when you speak it out that it becomes faith. You don't truly have faith if you don't declare what you affirm in you.

*Insights For Today: Whatever is too big for your mouth to declare will be too big for your hand to handle. What you cannot declare boldly may not cross your path in life. If you believe, you will speak.*

John  5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, WILT THOU BE MADE WHOLE?
 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I HAVE NO MAN, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

I was startled and at the same time speechless when the Holy Ghost brought this to me again..

Jesus met this man who had been impotent for 38 years and said to him "do you want to be made whole?" And look at his response, "I have no man".

This man didn't give an answer but a complain. It is like asking an elderly person "do you want to eat?" and he responds by saying, "I am asleep". I wondered because this man who had suffered this age long ordeal wasn't even ready to receive his healing, because the answer he gave was completely off point, in other words, he didn't even bother to answer the question because he had over time fixed his eyes and focus on man and now when God appeared on the scene, he only ended up confessing and showing us exactly where his focus was.

 This man doesn't believe he could receive anything from God without any man.
Note that, this message is not to water down the place of man in God helping you or to say that man is not vital in God reaching out to you but what the Lord is trying to reveal to us from His word today is that, we shouldn't put our trust and focus in and on man but in and on Him alone.

How can you be asked "do you want to be healed? And you are saying "I don't have a man". This answer is not only an answer that shows a man who is dependent on man but it shows that such a man has shifted all his trust to man. This is what God is against.

*Insights for today: Trust in the Lord and you won't be put to shame. If you don't have a man, just ensure that you have a God.*

- The distance to be covered is less compared to the one you have covered, moving an inch gets you closer to the fulfillment. Don't give up!

- The power to prevail in life is with them who are not willing and ready to give up in life.

-  Behind every outstanding fulfillment of destiny is a rugged and dogged force called persistency.

- Be prepared to meet the Lord your God!

Isaiah  1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.

- Until your willingness is empowered, you'll end in frustration. One of the reasons why many people can't do what they are willing to do is bcos they are not empowered to do it.

- You can't eat the good if your willingness is not confirmed.

- The reason why many are not empowered to do what they are willing to do is because they rely on self strength instead of relying on God's strength.

- God created the world by the power of His Word, it is therefore evident that, you can't enjoy the good He has placed in the world without the Word.

- Jesus is coming back again. Be prepared to meet the Lord your God!

Psalms  119:56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

One of the things that you will have because you keep God's word is God Himself. Everything you do in life impacts you with something and you can't be left with nothing if you do something. In other words, every action produces a reaction and every step gives a result.

David said, this I had because I kept your word. This also means that, he wouldn't have gotten something if he hadn't done anything.

While nothing magnets or attracts nothing on the other hand, Something is the magnet for something. For instance, you can’t be like Him if you don’t care to spend time with Him and when you spend time with Him, you will carry Him in an unmistakable manner.

*Insights For Today: If only you can keep His word, you will experience His grace.*

Matthew  4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written *AGAIN*, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

In Matt chapter 4:1-7 we can see the tempter coming to tempt Jesus and there are few things we have to note from that. They are:
1.  no one is too big for the devil to tempt.

2. no one is too spiritual to be tempted of the devil. Jesus was full of the Spirit and was even having a lengthy fast when the tempter came to trial Him.

3. the enemy doesn't give a notice before tempting anyone.

4. If you're not prepared, you're bound to fail or fall cheaply

5. If you don’t know what is written, you don’t have power to control or stop what is happening. He was able to stop the devil because He knew what was written.

If the enemy could tempt Jesus who is the word with the word, the one who made everything and the one in whom all things are held together. If He could be tempted, then no one is above temptation but we saw that Jesus would never have been able to defeat the devil if not because He lived ready.

Many today want to defeat the enemy while they are not even ready at all. Jesus said, "it is written again..." this shows that He  did not only know what was written, he  was also fully prepared because he was tempted with other things but he conquered due to his readiness..

*Insights For Today: Conquest is by readiness. If you are not aware of what is written, destruction will come and overtake you and if you don't know what is written, you can't control or put an end to what is happening. You can't be swallowed up in the ocean of life if you live ready.*

Psalm 116: 10 I BELIEVED, therefore have I spoken.
Romans  10:10  "For WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH ...."
Numbers  14:28  Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:

The reason David was bold enough to speak was just because he believed. And also we understand from the Bible that believing is not just a mental view, thought or assent to an opinion but an agreement that takes place in the heart based on the word you take in. Faith is not gotten outside the word of God and thus for faith to be alive, connection to the living word must be strong and consistent.

1 Samuel  17:45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

We saw David boldly telling a man who is not only older than him but a man who is about 6 feet 9 inches or 2.06 metres tall. David as small as he is physically dared to look at this gigantic man and talk straight at him.

David would never have dared it if he had nothing deposited into him by consistently walking with God. What was inputted into him over time came out when the need arose. Your input determines your output. You can’t dare it if you lack the adequate content to face it.

*Insights For Today: If it was left to size and height, David would have had no hope but thank God it is not by physical size or might but by faith which is the spirit strength. It is not by sight or size but by faith. It is not by might but by inner capacity*

*_Prayer Point: Father, I ask that you would grant unto me to be filled afresh with your Spirit in Jesus name. Keep walking by faith_*

Psalm 116: 10 I BELIEVED, therefore have I spoken.

Romans  10:10  "For WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH ...."

Mark  11:23 ".....he shall have whatsoever he saith".

Scripture confirms that, whatever we confess is truly established because God is watching over His word to perform it and His word also stated that " but as truly as I live sayeth the Lord, as you have spoken in my ears, so will I do unto you".

However, we see that, believing is not just by confessing but of the heart. This is why we have to watch and guard jealously what goes into our spirit man since what comes out of us is determined by what has gone inside of us. Our output is determined by our input.

Faith has it's root in the supernatural, men who ever thought that faith is just a thing of the mind never last long.

In Psalms 116:10 David said, I believe, so I have spoken in other words, if I don't believe it,  I wouldn't dare to even speak it.

It is unfortunate that many today do not believe and yet, they are speaking expecting something to happen but many of them have been disappointed.

So many have been faced with the spirit of death and in the midst of that, they shouted the wonderful name of "Jesus" but yet they were still killed or taken away. Are we going to say "the problem is from the name" or are we going to say the problem is that "God didn't really care about His word as regards to divine protection?"
Definitely No! But the real truth is that many really do not believe.


*Insights For Today: What comes out of us is determined by what has gone inside of us. Output is determined by input*

Mark  11:23 ".....he shall have whatsoever he saith".

 What we see affects what we think and what we think affects what we say and what we say determines what we acquire or experience as believers and thus we are to mind what we declare with our mouth.

 The enemy loves to show people pictures in dreams in order to affect what they imagine and declare and the reason he does that is simply because he knows that "your declaration determines your possessions ".

But spiritual lethargy affects what we see even in dreams or physically and what we declare. But what then is the meaning of spiritual lethargy and how do we overcome that plague?

Spiritual lethargy speaks of a believer coming to a point where spiritual things do not seem to make sense much to him/her. It is at this point that many begin to doubt what the word of God says, this is the state where many feel literally weakened by controlling powers. In this state, a demon cast a web on believers and shrouds them with so much negative thoughts and words and as long as you keep those thoughts in your mind, you can't pray well, and if you can't pray, how then can you have strength and if you don't have spiritual strength, how can you handle demons?

Spiritual lethargy also occurs when the enemy overhauls your life with so much activities that you no longer have time for prayer and the study of the word. It is to you according to your declarations but how can you experience spiritual vitality and buoyancy to declare what you want to see if you don't even have time for the word of God. *Insights For Today: The word of God in you affects the kinds of dreams you have. To be worded is to be free from negative reoccurring defeats both in dreams and in life.*

John  4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: FOR THE FATHER SEEKETH SUCH TO WORSHIP HIM.

Men are truly seeking for God, the kinds of things people do also shows  that men needs God. There are certain things you will watch men do even in church all in the name of seeking God but the Bible makes it clear that God is looking for certain people.

David was a man after God's own heart and I wonder so much how David was able to engage such a mighty mystery that made him close to God's heart.

He sought the Lord but scripture made it clear that "I have found David my servant and with my Holy oil have I anointed him". This means that, God was already looking for men before He saw David.
 In Psalms 14:2 the bible says "God looked down upon the children of men to see if there were any that did understand and did seek Him".

God is searching but who are those He is looking for?
Remember, men are looking for God but there are certain people God is busy looking for. He seeketh.. God seeketh..!

David was a man ever panting after God but this David showed us a mystery of how that he praised God 7times a day, that's a strange thing; a man had a constant schedule. He had an agenda every single day to praise God seven times. I have never seen such before, no wonder the Lord found Him.

*Insights For Today: Do you want to be the one God will find because He is already looking for men? Spend time every single day to worship and praise God. Have a constant schedule for praising God because that is the kind of people God is looking for. The best way to get anything from God is to spend time thanking Him for those things which you're expecting from Him.*

Habakkuk  3:17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
3:19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

 It is evident from scriptures that " there is nothing God can not do as long as the word has gone out from Him and we dared to put our trust in Him.

If trusting God can cause Him to do anything as long as He had spoken it, then we shall be looking at what is trust? And how can I put my trust in God in order to get results?

Trust: it is simply relying on God. Believing in Him even in the midst of storms. It could also be referred to as unreserved reliance in all weather.

How do I put my trust in Him or what should I do to put my trust in Him?

★ Prayer: A lifestyle of prayer shows that your only source and total dependency is God. Luke18:1; Philippians 4:6

★ A lifestyle of giving: When giving becomes a lifestyle no matter the times and seasons, you have just confirmed to God that He is your sufficiency and when you confirm to God that you trust Him through your giving, He opens up the heaven and blessings are being downloaded into your life (2Cor 9:6-8).

★ A lifestyle of worship/praise/ Thanksgiving: when murmuring and grumbling and complaining is your habit, you have only succeeded in telling God that you do not trust in Him. Irrespective of the times and seasons whether good or bad, endeavour to thank Him, ensure to celebrate Him and in the midst of that, He will lift you up and confirm to you that it pays indeed to trust in Him. (Hab 3:17-19)

The weakness of men is responsible for the faithlessness of men. Anyone who is faithless will naturally be a weakling.

Faith is the secret of supernatural strength, vitality, agility, ferocity and brutality. If faith is not in place, weakness is in place because the absence of faith signifies the presence of fear and fear makes a man hide his head in shame and hopelessness.

But the level of the understanding of the word in you determines the level of your faith and the level of your faith determines the level of your vigor or strength.

The Bible declared that through faith, Sarah received strength to conceive and also you know that if you faint in the days of adversity, it is because your strength is small..(Proverbs 24:10). Therefore we can conclude that, faith is the source of Supernatural strength for sweatless conquest in life. (1 John  5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: AND THIS IS THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, EVEN OUR FAITH).

Faith supplies you with the strength to overcome the battles of life and thus without faith, you will fall flat in the face of oppositions and trials.

Note that, It is not possible to have faith and not have strength. When faith is present, strength is present.

If you keep asking for anything, you will surely get it. The system called P.U.S.H. which means Pray Until Something Happens has been eroded by preachers who lack understanding between the types of prayers (praying in faith and prayer of faith) and they just simply draw their conclusion by saying “it is unbelief to ask for one thing twice”.

This system called P.U.S.H. still works even today and if you really want to seek Him and find Him, you must engage many P.U.S.H.

David said, my eyes are ever toward the Lord, in other words "my eyes are continually toward you..." and since my eyes are continually toward you then, it is sure that you will pluck my feet from the net. Do you want the Lord to come to your rescue? Then never stop calling on Him.

The Bible tells us of a man whose friend came to him in the midnight requesting for just three loaves of bread for his visitor, this man refused saying “he’s already have in bed' but we saw that as his friend persisted in asking him or as he continued to ask him, that man who didn’t want to stand up had no choice than not only to stand but to give him as many loaves as was requested of him.

Again, in Luke 18:2-8 we can equally see the story of a wicked king who had no regard for God and man but yet came to the rescue of a seemingly disturbing woman.

Why did this king who had no regard for God and man came to the rescue of this poor woman? The reason is simple, this woman kept on crying to that king.

*Insights For Today: If a wicked king who had no respect for God could not withstand the cry of that persistent woman, is it a loving Father who is the God of all Kings that will ignore you if you keep calling on Him?*

God seekers must know that, it is not all about knowledge but all ABOUT INTIMACY..

 Now we walk in the light NOT because we know exactly how to but because we yield ourselves to Him to lead the way while we follow.‬‬‬

God seekers must know that it is either they have a constant access to the Father or Nothing else matters.

 We hear about the risen King but God seekers go beyond hearing or reading about Him, they Search Him out, they seek Him till they see Him.

He's not far but you must seek Him.. O what a joy for when He's found of you, you become a mystery indeed as a person.

God seekers, you must be hungry and you must be ever thirsty for this creates room in you for you to be filled afresh with new revelations of the Spirit. SEEK HIM!

- JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN. Be prepared to meet the Lord your God.

This scripture sounds almost unbelievable to the ear. How can I be perfect as my FATHER in heaven who is flawless and errorless, How can I be as perfect as Him? Can you expect a mortal like me to compete or stand in holiness as my heavenly Father and not even my faulty and filthy earthly father?

You must understand that this particular verse is as true as every other part of the bible and it can't be cut out of the scripture because it is equally the word of God.

 It will interest you to also know that, God is not asking us to measure up with the standard of man but with the standard of God. He's not asking you to look at everything man is doing and do the same. There are so many people today who are living in sin and doing all manner of abominable things because their pastor is doing it. So many men and women are living below the ordained standard of God because their pastor or his wife is not also living up to God's standard.

 Multitude have succeeded in shifting their focus from God to man and this has grieved the Holy Ghost which is given to us.


*Insights For Today: God said, His standard for us is to be just like Him. Who then do you want to be like? You don’t have any excuse of not living an holy life. Your mentor is not an excuse either.*

Access to the blessings is not by chance or by luck but by deliberately engaging some scriptural truths, let's look at these two pathways to the blessings:

1. The Fear of God: The fear of God talks about the reverence of God and also having an awe or sense of deep respect for God. God is saying, “if we fear Him, we can’t escape His blessings”.

2. Delighting in the word of God: Delighting in His word has to do with giving the word high preference or simply say “esteeming the word”. The scripture says in 1Sam 2:28 that if we honor Him, He will honour us and if we esteem Him, the same thing will He do for us but if we do not esteem Him, He said, He Himself will disregard us.

However, it is unfortunate to see so many people desire the blessings of God and yet don’t have interest in the word of God which gives us access to the blessings.

When you have little regard for the word, you are simply expressing your disregard for the blessings, in other words, you’re simply saying “I don’t need the blessings”.

*Insights For Today: You can't escape the blessing if you engage these two forces*

Matthew  17:20 "... for verily I say unto you, *If ye have faith as a GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, YE SHALL SAY UNTO THIS MOUNTAIN, REMOVE HENCE TO YONDER PLACE; AND IT SHALL REMOVE; AND NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE UNTO YOU".*

According to our text for today, no matter how minute or small you said your faith is, it can move the highest and breakthrough the hardest mountain. Someone may be saying, “are you really sure about what you just said?" Well, God said something à not Olatunde.  I am not the inspiration behind the writings of scriptures but God Himself.

This was exactly what the woman with the issue of blood did, she heard the word and what she heard may not have impacted her with so much faith because if you have ever been in a particular affliction for about 12 years, you will agree with me that questions will arise in your mind whether to act on what you just heard now or not but we saw the woman conquered her fears and questions and stepped out to touch the helm of Jesus garment irrespective of what will happen should anything contrary happens. If her faith could breakthrough the resistances and doubt, yours too can.

Stepping out in faith may not necessarily mean that you still don’t have the doubtful situation but that you chose to engage your faith at that moment irrespective of the presence of that doubtful situation.

  You need to understand that worrying on its own doesn't just bring about the trouble but it brings the fear and the fear is what brings the troubles.. Therefore, spending time worrying is sowing and preparing a good ground for fear to set in and once the enemy sees fear, he jumps in and carries out his operations without any resistance.

If believers will only learn to live beyond self, they wouldn't worry about anything. God is the one who gave the word. If He says, your little faith can move mountains, then it sure can if you will dare to step out like the woman with the issue of blood. You are the one to be dead enough to common sense in order to engage your faith even though you claim it is too small.

*Insights For Today (IFT): "Your smallest Faith can move the highest and breakthrough the hardest mountain".   If He promised it, you don't have to worry about it, just believe it and you will see it".*

How we often engage in unprofitable work called worrying. To think or worry is to do work but many of us do not know that it requires energy to worry.

Energy is the ability to do work and it therefore means that any time you're worrying, you're doing work which means you are expelling some energy. But the disadvantage in this kind of work is that, it is not adding anything of value to your life and destiny but it is rather taking away something from you.
 Good meditation is a good work that is capable of boosting your immune system and morals which will cause you to do positive things.

 It is medically confirmed that certain immune system in you gradually degenerates or dies as you spend more time worrying. This is the reason for quick ageing and on the other hand joy and worship elongates human life by boosting your immune system.

I will bless the Lord at all times and His praise shall continually be in my mouth but it is impossible for His praise to continually be in your mouth if His thoughts are not continually in your mind. What you think is what propels what you say. This means that, if your thoughts are not rightly aligned, you will naturally not worship or thank Him - instead, you will worry and confess negativity.

Deep thoughts propels worship ( Bishop Oyedepo said "if you think we'll, you will thank well") and so also, deep thoughts propels worry but the difference in such a thought that propels worry is that, such a thought is not in line with the word of God qnd this are the kinds of thoughts that makes people commit suicide.

*Insights For Today: You were asked meditate on the Word of God day and night and not on your troubles. If you spend time meditating on your troubles, you will surely die before your time.*

Titus  1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

The first time the name Christian appeared was in the book of Acts in Acts  11:26 " .....And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch."

There were certain things those people in Antioch saw in them that made them call them Christians. First, Christian means Christ-like or having the behavior or character of Christ.

You are not permitted to be called a Christian if you're not behaving like Christ and there are people we call Christians today who do not deserve to be called a Christians.
What then are the three basic ways in which you can identify a true Christian or what are the marks of a Christian?

1. Affection for the presence of God
2. Consistency in display of positive character
3. Hatred for iniquity

Every true Christian loves God and every lover of God has an undying love and affection towards God and everyone who has great affection for God will naturally have strong hatred for sin.

*Insights For Today: Affinity for sin is a confirmation that you're not a true Christian. True Christianity is confirmed by a staunch affinity for God and a strong hatred for iniquity.*

Thanksgiving has been confirmed as a potential and unfailing force necessary for receiving answers to prayers. However, multitude of people have engaged so much in prayers neglecting the main ingredients which makes prayers to works.

Have you ever imagine someone cooking without adding salt or Maggi? Anyone who cooks without one of these two will never have a satisfying taste, so also is Thanksgiving to prayer. Thanksgiving is the ingredient that makes prayers complete.

It is so unwise and unfortunate that many wants to see proofs and yet are not willing to do all what the Bible has prescribed in order to see or get results. It is therefore wise to obey the scriptures by adding this ingredient to our prayers. Ten lepers were cleansed but we could see the one who returned to give thanks for seeing little got the complete package.

Abraham was expectant but yet he didn't neglect the power of thanks and thus we saw his results (Rom 4:20). It is impossible to engage in thanksgiving and not get results.

*Insights For Today: It is therefore evident that no man can get the whole without Thanksgiving, praying without thanking is playing without knowing and playing without knowing has no meaning.*

We established the fact that what has taken away the focus and attention of God's children are not necessarily demons but God's blessings or gifts. This means that, there are times that God will look down from heaven and tears will drop from His eyes because it is what He made to give man pleasure that man has now succeeded in placing above Him.

Deuteronomy  4:24  For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
The scripture has reiterated it severally that the Lord our God is a jealous God who can't afford to share us with any other person or thing. He wants to have the very first place in us and this is why He Himself desires to be in an intimate relationship with us.

But we put the blessings above the blesser, we have place the gifts He has given to us above His place in us.

There are some people that were better Christians as paupers. Some people after having a car and few hundreds of thousands or millions in their account will like that rich fool praise his/herself for such an achievement. It is at such times that you know who is really humble or proud and who really has a heart to seek and love God.

David was a clear proof of a man who loved God at all seasons, when he was in the bush tending sheep, his affection for God was strong and even after he became a king - he never stopped loving God.

*Insights For Today: Nothing in this world should ever take your attention and focus from the one who loved you to the point of giving Himself for you. He is a jealous God.*

It has been proven over time that what has taken the place of God in the heart and lives of God's people are not demons in themselves but the gifts or blessings of God.

Many of us do not know the kind of hunger for God that the writers of the Bible experienced. David writes in Psalm 42 “My soul pants for you”. Now, whenever we are physically hungry, we know that our senses immediately begin to revolve around our physical need while other things are forgotten or suspended at the moment.

Spiritual desire operates the same way. When our first love is restored everything else will seem less important. Our perspectives and priorities will change. This kind of focus may seem rare, but it’s God’s plan for all of us. He wants first place in our lives and nothing less.

Many of our desires are not wrong. They are simply the way we express human vitality.

God delights to meet our needs and he also delights to bless us extravagantly. But problems arise when we let his gifts take all our attention or simply say "we will have problems when we allow His gifts to take His place in our hearts. This can happen over time, and can often be deceptive seeing that it happens gradually and not suddenly.

We must strike a balance and thus maintain a buoyant relationship with Him at all times irrespective of His gifts that we possess.

 Our human desires needs to give way to the most important thing, which is to know God.

 Being with Him, seeking His holiness and glory becomes the primary goal in your life when you are truly desirous of Him. And when you truly desire Him like David, you will discover that nothing else really matters and nothing else should stand in the way or take His place not even His gifts.

*Counsel For Today: Check your life and access yourself to see if His gifts has take His place in you. If that has happen, you must immediately repent before it's too late.*

25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

From scripture it is very clear that there are certain categories of people God refers to as being foolish, the first category of people who are seen as being foolish are those who says "there is no God" according to  Psalms 14:1. The second categories are those who know there is God but do not regard Him like the rich fool while the third categories of people are those who are NOT prepared. But our focus today is on the third categories of people.

Our text today shows us that the ten women were all virgins, in order words they were all clean but yet we could see that five of them were not able to make it when the bridegroom came not because they were not clean but because they were not prepared.

Lack of preparation is God's definition of foolishness.

*Insights For Today: Unpreparedness is God's definition of foolishness and you can't get the best of God if you're not well prepared.*

The essence or benefits of having a spiritual father or mentor cannot be overemphasized and this is because, your father provides a ladder for your lift, your prophet determines your profit. You can't have certain access and profit without your prophet.

A father or mentor can easily influence a follower both in terms of character, likes and dislikes. But in as much as it is good to have a prophet or mentor, it is therefore necessary to know that, you have to be careful so you don't fall because your father or someone you're looking up to fell. This is also the reason why it is very easy to live holy if the one you're following is living holy.

So many people have started living in error just because someone they look up to is living in error. You will hear people do certain unreasonable things and when you ask them, you will find out that, they did what they did just because the person they are following is doing the same things. The root will always affect the fruits.

 YOU CAN'T HAVE A GOOD FRUIT IF YOUR ROOT IS BAD. Your root affects both your fruits and your branches.

*Counsel: You need to follow those who have solid character and are not ready to compromise their integrity. You need those who have made up their minds to please God and not self. And besides, you can't afford to destroy your destiny just because the one you're following has gone astray.*

Our God is a good God. He is from eternity past, He is present and for eternity He will remain the same. Times and challenges hasn't been able to change Him yet. Situation and Human circumstances hasn't change Who He is. What a mysterious God doing mysterious things.
He's the oldest in years but yet He ageth not neither did He grew old. He's the oldest yet He doesn't use eyeglasses, He changeth not, He fainteth not, He dieth not, He ageth not. He's the God who has never dozed for once not to talk of taking a nap or rest. I love you o Lord.

He is the only one who was before the world was and He is the only one who will be even when the world will be no more, He made the world by His Word, He sustains and He upholds the world by His word and the world will be judged by His Word (Heb. 1:3).

In Psalms 23:1 David said, the Lord is my shepherd and since, He is the one leading me, I am not permitted to want but if He is not my shepherd, I will want and you will agree with me that only sheep can be led and not a goat. But I hope you also know that a shepherd has a rode in which He uses in case you go the wrong way.

Never you think the rode in a shepherd's hand is meant for playing with the sheep. Most often than none, we do wonder why we feel pain and seemingly neglected if beaten in the way God leads us but that shouldn't be the way we ought to feel. A shepherd's rode is for correction, redirection and focus.

Hebrews  12:5  And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him.  Many of us would have wandered away if not for the rode of the shepherd. Multitude have fainted in the way because they were chastised and thought the Lord hate them by making them pass through such seasons of chastening.

*Insights For Today: The Lord knoweth the way that you take, when you have been tried, you will definitely come forth as gold.*

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth, therefore He can't lead you into error or falsehood. Nevertheless, you must submit yourself to Him if you want to be led by Him seeing that God had already said that His Spirit will no longer strive with man (Genesis 6:3   And the LORD said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh..).

We have wonderful promises in His word but all these wonderful promises is dependent upon what man chooses. If you choose one part, you will have it and if you choose everything, then it will all be yours.

Many people believe in God as their provider and since that is the only revelation they have of God, they release their seeds and thus receive maximum harvest while some others believe God as their healer and health, these ones naturally live above sicknesses and diseases.

If you do not see God as your guilder or leader, you will never be led by Him and even when He tries leading you, you will frustrate His Spirit.


As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these ones are the sons and daughters of God says the scriptures. You won't enjoy His leading if you don't subject yourself to be led. In Psalms 23:1 David said, the Lord is my shepherd and since, He is the one leading me, I am not permitted to want but if He is not my shepherd, I will want and you will agree with me that only sheep can be led and not a goat. But I hope you also know that a shepherd has a rode in which He uses. To be continued!

The choices some of us have made in time past could either be traced to the leading by self and not by the Spirit of God because the scriptures declares in Isaiah 48:21   And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.....  when God led them, they thirsteth not but how come the same God will be leading us today and yet we will be thirsting? Something is wrong, isn't it?

The reason is simple, we are simply bankrupt of knowledge. The flow of water out of the desert connotes the constant inspiration or revelation of the spirit through intense seasons.

Now, let's come back to Luke 4:1 Jesus was full of the Spirit and the result of that was that He was led down into a wilderness and was tempted by the devil. Are you kidding me? How can a man be full of the Spirit and yet be led by the Spirit (not a demonic spirit but Holy Spirit) into the wilderness and not to play or rest or relax but to be tempted? It is unbelievable, isn't it?

Yes, it is but Jesus didn't faint in those seasons because water gushed out for him in that wilderness constantly in other words, the word of the Lord wasn't scarce for him. That was what it means when Isaiah said, "....they thirsteth not when He led them..." Someone may be saying, am not sure about what you are saying. Well, let's look at scriptures again.

Did you remember that they cried to Moses while in the wilderness for food? Did you remember they complained and grumble for water? Did you remember they almost grieved God and Moses pleaded on their behalf? Am sure you do but what was the outcome?

During those times, God's word was not always scarce, the word always comes to Moses about what to do to give the people what they needed. That's what it means. It wasn't that, while going through the wilderness, they had no downturns or downtimes and even seasons when they had to murmur or grumble but it was because, they always had a way made for them by the voice of the Spirit in other words, the voice of the Lord was not scarce but was readily available.

*Insights For Today: If you're led by His Spirit, you are His true son and daughter but that does not negate the fact that, you may encounter challenges on the way.*

Matthew 7:20   Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Titus  2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

We all know that, whatever has an original equally has a counterfeit. We have a grace which is the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ but we also see another grace which is of the devil. This devilish grace only parades itself to be true while it is a lie, it makes and calls itself white while it is dark and black.

This is the more reason we ought not to listen to every preacher of grace or even pay attention to all preachers of the gospel because some aren't really preachers of the truth. Some are genuine preachers while others claim to be preachers of peace but are preachers and sponsors of heresies that leads to eternal damnation (2 Cor.11:14).

Any grace that makes you live in sin is not the grace of our Lord but the grace of the devil.

The devil that comes to you in black apparel with black or long horns is not really a devil that you ought to be careful about but the one who comes to you in the cloak of righteousness and truth. If you're not careful, you may not know this particular one is the devil based on his/her appearance but based on his/her character, integrity and fruits.

Never judge any man of God based on their gifts because the scripture says by their fruits, you shall know them and not by their gifts. Those who are easily moved to call those who prophesy "papa or mama" will fall cheaply to the wiles of the devil.

You can also be a genuine man of God and fall cheaply or be used by the devil due to your seemingly candid lifestyle of being too free with everybody and lack of integrity. Every man of God without integrity will end up being a vessel in the hands of the devil.

People will not regard you for the sake of your title, neither will the devils dread you for title's sake. Impact is stronger than title, a strong mantle is heavier than the strongest devils.

You will surely know the genuine by their fruits, but it takes time for fruits to really develop and believers ought to be careful because the enemy is catching away genuine servants of God and making them his vessels. I used to know a certain apostle whom God started using but later veered off the path of truth due to impatience and lack of integrity. This beloved brother started with zeal and true passion for God but along the line he was enticed by the cares and snatched away by worldly lust.

Some few months before he finally departed from the faith he once held dear unto, I was in his office and we sat to counsel those who had need for that but I knew something wasn't right from within me though I wasn't sure of what was to come upon him but I knew.

*Insights For Today: You shall know them by their fruits. Fruits develop with time too so judge every man you see by both fruits and time.*

Romans  6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
2 Corinthians 11:3   But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

What is subtility? Subtlety is a state of being crafty or cunning or deceptive.

Did you know what made Adam and Eve to fall was not because sin was painted as sin but because sin was painted as righteousness. The devil will never come to you appearing to you as dark with horns but as an Angel in beautiful apparel.

The fall of many today has been due to one form of seduction or the other. The serpent came to the woman in the garden and see what happened.....
 Genesis  3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.

It is good you know the nature of the devil or else you will fall cheaply for His wiles or craftiness. he used his nature for the first man and he fell, he had not changed, he is still subtil today even as he was in old times.

Grace empowers you to live above sin and not to live in sin as many suppose.
People including believers have been made to understand by erroneous preachers that, grace covers for the sins you've not committed and thus you can go on and sin because once you are saved, you remain forever saved irrespective of your actions",

 Beloved, into fall for this subtlety, it is a lie from the pit of hell and you must not be a victim of this satanic lie.

*Insight For Today: When Adam fell for the subtlety of the devil, he suffered irrecoverable losses and paid for it, if you fall for satanic craftiness, you will suffer irrecoverable losses and if you were not helped on time, your end may be in the lake of fire.*

 Numbers 23:19   God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: HATH HE SAID, AND SHALL HE NOT DO IT? OR HATH HE SPOKEN, AND SHALL HE NOT MAKE IT GOOD?

How often we lay our hands on so many things and do many things which are not according to His will and since it wasn't according to His will, He can't confirm them.

We make choices, act and embark on our own journeys like Jonah not because we intentionally wanted to but simply because we are deaf to hear His leading voice or simply because of dereliction like Jonah.

The best and safest place to be is in the will of God and a man in His will will naturally command His voice and when you have His voice, you have no need to worry or fear.

Our text today confirms that, whatever God declares to you is as good as done because He is the God that declares the end from the beginning, He doesn't say anything because He wants to do them but He says them because He had already done them.

This was Abraham's condition, He heard the word of the Lord concerning the promised child and held on to the promise for about 25 years. What made Abraham hold on to the word? He simply knew that "God will because He said He will". This was what gave Abraham the rest and confidence while waiting.

Scriptures declares that Abraham was strong in faith giving glory to God. He had not seen it yet, he started praising God for the word.

Beloved, God will because He said He will. You don't need to worry but rest and relax in His love and mercy, have a sure assurance that He that can make His word good unto Abraham by confirming it will do the same for you.

*Insights For Today: Abraham waited for 25 years. Note that, 25 years is not 25 days. After 15 years of waiting for the promise, God visited Abraham again and assured him that the promise would be fulfilled in due time. It took another 10 years after the reassurance for Abraham and Sarah to give birth to a son who was named Isaac. HE WILL NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW HE WILL BUT BECAUSE HE SAID HE WILL. BE AT REST.*

Jeremiah 29:13   And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

You can't find Him except you seek Him with all your heart.
 Of a truth, nothing in this world can ever satisfy or fill up the vacuum that is in man. Everyone has a craving for the supernatural. Even the heathen or the ungodly has a craving for something but it is unfortunate that people do not crave for that which is of God.

It is one thing to seek God and it is another thing entirely to be passionate about your pursuit of God. Access to more of Him is not only rooted in you seeking Him.  For instance, having water on your table does not quench your thirst, it is not enough to have water on the table, you must go on and pick the water and drink it.

Without taking certain steps, you can't get the water to quench your thirst despite the fact that you can see the water on the table with your eyes.
It is not enough to see revelations or have prophecies of access but you must also crave passionately to see them come to pass, this is what it means to take steps in order to get access.

 and your prayers are the steps that you take which will truly confirm that indeed you're ready to access more of Him.*

Psalms  35:4 Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
35:5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

The humiliation of the enemies by the believers does not come as we gather to play but as we gather to pray. It does not come as we learn to speak but as we go on our kneels.

The reason why satanic arrows fly and can successfully hit you or have an effect on you is because you are a prayerless believer. The scripture makes it very clear in Isaiah 54:14, you shall be established in righteousness and once that is done, you're naturally expected to be far from all oppressions of the devil but when we read further to verse 17 we saw that, the enemies are permitted to throw their arrows or even speak against you but none of their arrows can successfully hit you, and every voice against you were all ordained by heaven to end in frustration but not without your own voice rising to condemn every voice against you. This is the reason why prayer is necessary.

Nothing breaks the devils backbone like prayer and praise (and I mean deep worship).

Satanic agendas can be frustrated when you understand how to engage the power in the secret place. Many believers still do not know that the devils can be frustrated like men.

When you resist a man constantly  for too long, he suddenly gets frustrated and gives up, the same thing applies to the devil also, you can cause him constant frustrations but not without the right tool or event.

Three things has proved powerful over time to cause major havoc to the enemies. Prayer, deep worship (praise) and sacrificial giving. These three mysterious activities holds dynamic powers that no devil has been able to fathom or comprehend since the foundation of the world.

*Insights for today: The devil does not fear the prayerless but the prayerful. You can't frustrate the enemies through mere singing but by calculated inspired singing. Playing is the enemies delight while praying is the enemies greatest enemy.*

*Prayer point: Everlasting Father, increase my prayer fire and cause me to remain ever on the increasing tide of grace in Jesus name. Keep walking by faith*

- Never you think you got what you asked for because you merit it but because of His mercies unveiled to you.

Psalms  127:1  Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Psalms  60:11  Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

The day you lose sense of men helping you is the very day you sign up for the help of Jehovah. The reason is because GOD will NEVER share His glory with any mortal man including yourself, so He waits till you give up all man made help or sources before He steps in to help.

Most often than none, God waits for man to reach its breaking point before He chooses to help, this is the point at which He knows no man can help you including yourself.
 This is the point of absolute helplessness and surrenderness to Him.

The reason why God has been unable to help multitude is because, they got to that point of helplessness and yet refused to surrender to God.

Important truth to know about the help of God:
- Don't expect help from a particular person. People whom you believe will help might not be the ones God has ordained to help you.

-  You don't need everything and everybody to succeed you only need one person which is GOD alone.

Until you're ready to give it all up for HIM, you are not ready to experience a major help from Him.

*Insights for today: Vain is the help of man including self. If God can't help you, no man can help you.*

*_Prayer: Dear Lord, I give up all focus on people including self, I invite you today and I confess that, except you help me, no man can help me. Help me Lord now in Jesus name. Keep walking by faith_*
