Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, *FORGETTING THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE BEHIND, AND REACHING FORTH UNTO THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE BEFORE.*
There is no future in the past. The past is gone, the present is here while the future is yet to come but the seeds you sow in this present is what will determine what you will experience tomorrow. This means that, your past may not affect your future but your present does affect your future greatly..
Paul said "this one thing I do.." "I do" is in the present, this means that, it is a thing of personal responsibility. God Himself won't bare that burden for you because He had ordained that you should be the one to determine what you do with your ugly past since it doesn't count any more with Him. But be really careful because past errors may affect your future if not well handled.
A wise man once said, "every saint has a past and every sinner has a future".
You can never lay hold on that gainful and colourful future if you refuse to let go of that shameful past. Life may not have been good to you but if you're now in Christ and you are wiling to walk in obedience to the word, the Lord declares concerning you that "it shall be well with you (Isa 3:10)".
Choose to let go of the past so that you can firmly lay hold on the future. The past is behind you, forget it but the future is ahead of you, go for it. Many have destroyed their glorious future due to their negative occurrences. There is nothing you lose in life that is worth holding onto in your heart, the only one you should never struggle to
If what you have been experiencing is bad, there is the good in front and if you're currently enjoying the good and the better now, there is always the best that is in front of you. There is something that is excellent that is always in front of you. Therefore, NEVER SETTLE DOWN FOR LESS.*
*_Prayer point: Ask God today for His mercy to wipe away all ugly past errors and give you access to your colourful future in Jesus name.(Charge yourself up praying in the Holy Ghost for 30mins today).. Keep walking by faith_*
