♦ *TOPIC: MATTERS OF DESTINY - WHAT IS DESTINY*

1 John  3:8  ".... FOR THIS PURPOSE THE SON OF GOD was manifested..."
John  18:37  ".......To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth..."

Today, we are considering a very important word, a word that determines not just how well you start but how well you end and our focus is to know that we do not just exist to please self but God. This is the starting point to every glorious destiny fulfillment.

What is destiny?:
* Destiny simply means God's desired destination or outcome for you.
* Destiny is not just what God wants you to start doing, it is what God wants you to end your life doing, it is where God wants you to end your life and in life.

It will interest you to know that Jesus Himself didn't just appear on earth because He wanted to appear, He appeared because God had a desire in His heart that He wanted to fulfill and the only way He could do that is to send Jesus down here. This same thing applies to everyone of us that is living today, we didn't just appear here on earth just because we chose to but because God had a specific objectives and things He wanted fulfill or accomplish through us.

God needed to save man and so, He sent Jesus. God told Jeremiah, before I formed you and sent you into this world because of what exactly I want to fulfill through you. GOD was literally saying to Jeremiah, "I DIDN'T FORM YOU BECAUSE OF YOU, I FORMED YOU BECAUSE OF ME".

Everyone of us has a purpose, we have a destiny in God. And JESUS WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN BORN IF HE DIDN'T HAVE A DESTINY TO FULFILL. As you celebrate His birth, remember, His birth is a purposeful one, He didn't came because of self but for a cause. As you celebrate His birth, put your life in order and channel it in the cause to which the giver has ordained and if you're yet to discover purpose, pray today and it shall be unveiled to you.

*Insights for today: The purpose of life is not just about you living to please self but living to please the giver of life.*

*_Prayer point: Ask for the grace to please God with your life even as we celebrate His birth in this season. Keep walking by faith_*

 MEDITATION FOR TODAY: What is my purpose in life? Do I think I am alive because I chose to?   Think about the many calamities you've experienced in the past and ask yourself, "did I just survived all these for nothing?"
