Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Faithfulness pays a lot but the pay doesn't just seem to come on time. In fact, a man/woman who is faithful to God at certain times and seasons under certain conditions will always be considered as fools, lazy or unproductive based on the evaluation of men and this is not because they are not doing anything but because what they seem to do at such a time and season lack proofs.
At such times, you may even be trying to defend the cause of Christ or that you're standing despite distractions that wants you to compromise your faith in God.
When Joseph demonstrated his love and faithfulness to God by deciding not to accept an offer that was pleasurable but sinful, what happened to him at that moment was worse than if he had actually compromised and accepted the offer but at the end of it all, after he had waited on HIM who NEVER lies, He obtained the promises.
The pay or gain of faithfulness to God either in service, actions, or lifestyle is not always instantaneous, it usually takes time.
This is the reason God encouraged us in His word to be patient and thus we need both faith and patience to inherit the promises. (Heb.
*Insights For Today: Joseph's action looked foolish at the moment but the outcome showed that God will NEVER fail the faithful*
