```DESTINY DISCOVERY AND MOLDING MESSAGE```
♦ *TOPIC: MAD AT HIM? (OFFENDED IN HIM?) Part 2*
*_By: Judah Olatunde_*
Luke 7:23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. (Also read 1Kings 19:9-18).
Being mad at God is not just what happens only among the laity for this could happen to just anybody. Yesterday we saw the example of John the Baptist but today we shall be looking at the life of Elijah.
Those who give up on God didn't just wake up one day and decided to turn their back on God, no devil in hell can cause any man to give up on God overnight. It is something that happens gradually and then suddenly grows to reach a point where such a person can't carry on and then, that person calls it a quit.
Elijah was the only man whom God anointed so much that the level of his anointing caused heaven to send down fire. Calling down fire is a manifestation of the gift of special faith. And in this manifestation, only God does the work without the input of man, this is as a result of authority vested upon that man by God Himself, but yet we saw how that the enemy struck him and he started complaining.
How could a man who called down fire from heaven suddenly run into hiding and started grumbling and complaining? These are the things that when they happen consistently in your life shows the sign that if you are not careful enough, you may end up turning your back against God because Elijah came to a point where he saw himself as the only righteous man who was facing troubles.
If Elijah despite his anointing was attacked, anybody else can too and this is why we shall be looking at some things that must be in place in order not to fall victim.
★ Consistency in the place of Prayer. Consistency in the place of prayer will give you access to the voice of God like Elijah. If he had no prayer altar, he would have been wearied to a point where he wouldn't be able to hear from God again.
★ Consistent study of the word. Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out (Prov. 26:20). When your fire is low, you can easily be a victim but the scripture shows us that when wood is available, the fire must keep burning.
The absence of the word is what leads to the doubtfulness and the grumbling of men. And to be satisfied with complacency is to be pushed out of the path of destiny through challenges.
★ Never be too quick to draw certain conclusions no matter the pressure, i.e BE STILL! (Ps. 46:10)
*_Prayer: Almighty Father, help me to keep my watch in prayer and give me the grace of consistency with the study of your word, increase my hunger for you Lord in Jesus name.. Keep walking by faith_*
